How much is parking and where can I park?
Public event parking (free) is located on the south end of campus in designated lots along Wynne Street:
- Hooper Street Lot
- Wynne Dr. North Lot
- Pine Street South Lot
- Stadium Lot
Additional public event parking is located just a block away from the Joan Perry Brock Center:
- Putney Street Lot
- Vernon Street Lot
Where are the entrances to the JPB?
The main entrance to the JPB is located on the West side of the arena off of Brock Commons.
The student entrance is located on the South side of the arena between Joan Perry Brock Center and Willet Hall. This entrance can also be used by any ticket holder.
Bond Terrace is reserved for VIP entrance and will require a special ticket or pass to enter there.
Is accessible seating/ticketing available?
Yes! Accessible seating is available in the Joan Perry Brock Center at all price levels. For events with a GA Floor, seating is subject to the individual show production.
Accessible tickets are available for purchase through the Box Office or the Box Office website link. Please indicate the need for accessible tickets at the time of your order, along with any specific needs.
How early can I arrive for my event?
Doors typically open 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for most events. Door opening time is subject to change per event.
Longwood University Athletic event doors open 60 minutes prior to start time.
What forms of payment are accepted at the JPB?
The JPB currently accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Lancer Cash.
Is alcohol service available at the JPB?
Joan Perry Brock Center strives to present a family-friendly environment for every guest. As such, we promote responsible use of alcohol. Any guest who appears to be 40 years of age or younger will be required to provide appropriate proof of age.
Alcohol is typically available through concession stands via Aramark. Alcohol sales will be available for purchase up to half an hour before the event ends.
What is your smoking policy?
Joan Perry Brock Center is a smoke free facility. There is no smoking permitted inside or outside of buildings or on campus. Please note: all tobacco-related products including cigarettes, e-cigs, juuls, and lighters will be confiscated at the entrance of event facilities.
Are there restricted items that can't be brought to my event?
In general, the following items are prohibited:
- Animals (except for service animal as defined by the American Disabilities Act)
- Other exceptions can be made with written approval from JPB Management
- Cigarettes, cigars, any type of e-cigarettes, or any tobacco- or vaping-related products
- Drones or other model aircrafts
- Explosives, including fireworks
- Hazardous items, including, but not limited to: fuels, torches, chemicals, batteries, or aerosols (including pepper spray/gel)
- Illegal drugs or substances of any kind
- Laser pointing devices or flashlights
- Noisemaking devices of any kind, including, but not limited to: whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas, and cow bells
- Weapons including knives, guns, firearms, knives of any size, stun guns/tasers, bats, or poles

Can I bring a bag into the JPB with me?
Yes, but only bags that are smaller than 14 inches long, 14 inches tall, and 6 inches wide are permitted. All bags are subject to search upon entry.
No luggage, bags, or backpacks larger than the permitted size will be allowed.
The Joan Perry Brock Center reserves the right to refuse items that may pose a danger or cause disruption to the event or other guests, or that are in breach of building policies and/or the list of prohibited items. Any guest who declines to be searched or is in possession of prohibited items may be denied entry or ejected.
Can I bring snacks, food, and beverages into my event at the JPB?
No, event attendees and guests are not allowed to bring in outside food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) for any games or events. Exceptions may be made for guests with special dietary restrictions.
What is the camera/recording policy for events?
The camera and recording policy for each event is determined by the event itself and is subject to change.
All types of cameras are permitted for Longwood Athletics events. SLR-type cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, professional-style cameras, and video cameras are typically not permitted for concerts and similar performances.
Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks are not permitted.
Where are the restrooms located in the JPB?
Restrooms are located throughout the JPB concourse. All restrooms meet or exceed ADA specifications and are wheelchair accessible. A family restroom is located in Section 120.
Does the JPB have baby-changing accommodations?
Yes, baby-changing tables are available in all restrooms. There is also a family restroom located in Section 120.
Can my business or vendors sell products/services during my event?
Any and all commercial sales or product sampling must be approved by JPB management and/or Longwood University prior to the event.
